Nantucket features an assortment of nightlife and family-friendly fun. When it comes to dining, Nantucket offers both casual fare and fine dining establishments. Popular, New England Cuisine items include baked goods, pastries, fudge, and ice cream. Restaurants on the island feature chowder, seafood, and burgers.

There is fun to be had by all on this island, featuring various golf clubs and beaches. An aquarium on the island features several local sea animals, perfect for taking a break from the beach. In addition, there are whaling bars and a whaling museum that celebrate local heritage.



Outdoor attractions on the island include biking, walking, hiking, and water sports, which are much more common. Visitors love to visit Nantucket to fish, surf and kayak. Nantucket offers spas, clubs, fitness centers, and short walking tours for tourists simply looking to relax. Golfing is extremely popular on the island, as is taking the famous Nantucket ice cream cruise. Sitting at the beach is one activity everybody must do when they visit Nantucket. The beaches are full of white sands.

Notable establishments throughout the island of Nantucket are considered part of the historic district. These buildings include a church, Main Street, the Nantucket Atheneum, and the Pacific National Bank. Nantucket has a rich history, dating back to the high Quaker population in the 1800s. In addition, this was the first location in the United States to do away with slavery.

Many travelers visit during one of the festivals, which includes the April Daffodil Festival. This is an excellent time to visit, as daffodils are blooming throughout the island. Summer festivals include the Nantucket Wine Festival, Film Festival, Harborfest, and Sandcastle and Sculpture Day.

When it comes to shopping, Main Street is a great place to shop in boutiques. Popular apparel includes sundresses, jewelry, sandals, and handbags. It is also easy to find souvenirs that make perfect guests for loved ones back home. Beach gear is also abundant throughout the town.
